I worked on my husband's Williams family for about 20 years - before the internet - with the intention of self publishing a book, which I actually did using Word. There are many other options out there - you can even turn blog posts into books and that is a painless way of telling the stories in pieces. Your family might enjoy blog books.Linda Stufflebeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10652044674485948749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3600055259039986608.post-71096475100135600512017-06-28T07:29:25.369-07:002017-06-28T07:29:25.369-07:00Enjoyed reading your post about preserving family ...Enjoyed reading your post about preserving family research. I realized that an actual book wouldn't make sense either. Instead, I'm creating 20-page booklets about each set of grandparents, to be followed up by other booklets about other family members as I learn more. Especially for the grandchildren, doing it this way makes the info more accessible and readable, IMHO. Need lots of photos and maps too! For instance, here's a post I wrote showing the table of contents for one booklet I sent out this month: http://climbingmyfamilytree.blogspot.com/2017/05/motivation-monday-telling-story-of-wood.html Wishing you continued luck with your research!Marian B.
